Central Poststroke Pain

Abstract
Brain stroke became one of the most common cause of death in Korea, recently. Central poststroke pain (CPSP) can occur as a result of lesion or dysfunction of the brain from stroke, and this syndromes is enigmatic and intractable in management. CPSP may cause many difficulties in social activities and daily life, especially in rehabilitation program. For better management of the CPSP, we should have better understanding for its etiology, pathophysiology, symptoms and evaluation methods. And the objective of this article is to review currently informations for the CPSP.
